whoa!
Has it really been almost a year since I last posted? When I started this blog, I had the modest goal to post 1X a month...pretty unambitious of me :)
But obviously I have failed to meet even these low expectations...
Surprisingly though, I am not really disappointed or beating myself up. I spent the last year completing a Masters degree on-line and much of my posting energy went into my on-line class work.
I also spent a great deal of time performing, and establishing on-line identity for, my "secret life" as a songwriter and performer. http://www.roblytle.com :)
Plenty of opportunities to share my thoughts and explore...my needs were being met.
I share this perspective because I think it is core to this idea of social networking...people generally seek the experiences that meet their elemental needs. Maslow, in a modified and updated way, is still relevant...
Sure, there are people that treat social networking as a business, or as part of a business, but most of us simply look for ways to _belong/connect_, _express_, _impress_, or _escape_.
I am sure that this is not a complete list, as I am making it up on the fly as it leaves my fingers, but I think it is a good paradigm for discussion.
So, who knows what I will need tomorrow? but for today, I am back!
What do you think?
